The Local Organizing Committee invites you to attend the PME Regional Conference in Khon Kaen, Thailand. The conference will be presented jointly by Thailand Society of Mathematics Education (TSMEd), Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN (IRDTP), Khon Kaen University (KKU), Centre of Excellence in Mathematics (CEM), Center for Promotion of Mathematical Research of Thailand (CEPMART), the Mathematical Association of Thailand Under the Patronage of His Majesty the King, the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST), Center for Research in Mathematics Education (CRME), and the Educational Foundation for Development of Thinking Skills (EDTS).
      For the great and valuable opportunities and experiences for all participants, the conference will be held in a hybrid format, where any participant who cannot attend physically will be able to both participate and present in a virtual (online) format.
      The theme of the conference is “Mathematical Thinking Skills in the Digital Era: Regional Episode”, which is very timely for this era. This is the first time the PME Regional Conference will be hosted in Thailand and CLMV countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam) where mathematics education is underrepresented in the community. Thus, this conference will provide chances to facilitate the activities and network associated in mathematics education in the region and PME community.
      The Plenary speakers for PME Regional Conference are Hideyo Emori (Japan), Einat Heyd-Metzuyanim (Israel) and Maitree Inprasitha (Thailand). We organize PME Regional Conference, however, we would like to involve PME community from across the world too. We hope that your stay and visit in Khon Kaen and Thailand will be inspiring and fruitful.
